Crystalline Ice on Dark Bark

Rime ice had built up in thick crystalline layers on the twisted branches above Perisher, the dark charcoal bark providing strong contrast against the white ridged surfaces. Soft, diffused light revealed the sculptural detail without harsh shadows.
