Shadows Across Alpine Slopes

Low afternoon sun hit the Perisher snowfield at a shallow angle, throwing long shadows from dark subalpine shrubs toward the rocky ridgeline. Telephoto compression layered the terrain into distinct bands of shadow and pale slope.
